Here is the first of the many Christmas Cookies I hope to prepare for this holiday. :) They are quick and easy to make and great for having the kiddos help out with. They are yummy and oh so chocolaty!

Christmas Crinkles (originally from Family Fun Dec 1998)
3/4 cup butter--melted
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
6 oz semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup powdered sugar
In a large bowl, mix melted butter, cocoa powder and sugar; beat in the eggs and vanilla. In a medium bowl, stir the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Slowly mix in the wet ingredients, then stir in chips. Refrigerate dough for 2 hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 350. Form dough into 1-inch balls and roll in powdered sugar. Place on baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes.
